NBC has announced that, Mark Whitaker, currently Senior Vice President at NBC News, has been named chief of the network’s Washington, D.C. bureau. Whitaker is taking over the spot that was left vacant by the suddent death of Tim Russert.

President George Bush has given the okay for the execution of the Army private in the pic. The guy is Pvt. Ronald Gray. He’s been on death row at Ft. Leavenworth for 20 years. If/when all the appeals are exhausted, Gray’s execution will be the first in the U.S. military since 1961.
