The folks at Nationwide Insurance say that more than 80% of polled mobile phone users say that they drive while chatting on the cell phone. They all must be in Kansas City because I see them all the time. They are the cause of more than 80% of my road rage. I see it every day. You wonder why people are driving in two lanes at the same time….why they’re indecisive on making turns…why they’re either driving too fast or too slow…and chances are, they have a cell phone slapped on the side of their head.
What happened to the Bluetooth? What happened to the earpiece? Why are people so doggone cheap when it comes to getting a hands free device? I mean, if you are challenged when you drive with two hands, what makes you think that driving with one hand, one eye, and one ear will make things any easier?
If you’re too cheap to afford a bluetooth, the least you could do is to put the phone on speaker. I am waiting for the city leaders to propose that as law here….well, whenever they get past the EEOC case at City Hall.
