One thing you will learn about people is that they take on a different side when it involves money. Also, death of a loved one will bring about a change in disposition. However, the KC Knifefest 08′ stabs marches on.
This past weekend, the latest entrants into the Knifefest competition were identified. It went down sorta like this:
- Family member loses fight with battle against cancer.
- Relatives begin making preparations for funeral.
- Someone asks if there was a will.
- Will must have been located.
- Difference of interpretation about will from two relatives.
- Argument ensues.
- Pushing.
- Shoving.
- Name-calling.
- More pushing.
- More shoving.
- More name-calling.
- One of the men says, “I’ll fix this,”
- Other man asks, “how so?”
- First guy pulls out knife and starts getting stabby.
- Second guy starts bleeding.
- Second guy was sent to hospital with numerous cuts.
- First guy sent to jail and charged with assault and armed criminal action.
- Deceased family member still awaits funeral/burial.
When “will” the madness end?
