They were making a power play

I might be reaching for straws on this one, but I seriously doubt it.  Power Play got a little taste of some Hickman Mills High School hip hop hustling today.

Cops were called to break up a fight between some rival gangs from the school while they were on a field trip at the family entertainment venue.  This presented a challenge for Shawnee police.  They are used to getting blacks while they are yet in their vehicles.  This allows for time to get backup.  It’s a little different to have to corral them while they are out in the open.   Nonetheless, there was a job to do and they did it.

This kind of behavior is a head scratcher.  The folks at Hickman Mills should be ducking in the sand right about now.  There is nothing worse for your reputation than to go out into the public and have something like this (which must be a frequent practice at the school) happen in someone else’s neighborhood.  The Hickman Mills gripe that they are painted unfairly needs to be hushed.  These kids did nothing to endear themselves to the community.

Reports stated that police had to break up fights involving as many as 50 kids.  The bad blood was between a rogue gang, The “Mob”, and some other Hickman students.  Some of the Mob members were kicked out of Hickman, not invited to the party, and were plain ol’ troublemakers looking to cause trouble.

You have to feel sorry for the white folks who were there during this melee.  I’m sure they couldn’t get out of there quick enough.  Their cellphones were probably on full blast.  They probably thought that this was the end of the world for them.

The owner of Power Play has been in business for the past 4 years.  He stated that he’s never had any trouble in there until today.  Way to go, Hickman.  Way to go, “Mob”.

I went to Power Play for the first time back in December.  I threw a party for the boy and some of his friends.  It isn’t cheap.  It’s a great way to pay for some other kids to have fun on your dime.  What makes it worse, is that you can never find 10 of your kid’s friends that you like.   Well, you won’t like all 10.  So, you’re sure that some kid you can’t stand will be screaming and having a blast on your dollar.  It’s all good.  We had a blast that day.  Matter of fact, we still have some points on these cards that we got that day.

I’ll need to make sure no Hickman kids or gangs will be there when I go back.  I don’t want to go to jail.

  • Jesus…and people wonder why folks in JoCo think that all people from Missouri are thugs.

The KCMO school district at work.

  • H-Train,

Unfortunately, we can’t blame the KCMO School District for this one. Hickman Mills owns these thugs. Shame shame shame.

  • I stand corrected.

  • I’m guessing this to be so. The “Mob” has members made up of ex students from Hickman Mills. I’m sure some have dropped out. Who knows, they might have had a membership drive in KCMO for some of their students!!! lol

  • first off i would like to add that this is unfair. you cant dipict an entire school’s morale based on a group of teenagers who aren’t even affiliated with the school. the comments about this being between rival gangs is false. there were no gangs involved in this fight. just stupid kids who wanted to cause trouble. you need to get your facts straight before you start writing articles like this.

  • where are dese boyz from??? is it columbia missouri????

  • indian princess

    these boi’s are so sexy

  • Dang, can this be any more racist…”you have to feel sorry for the white folks who were there during this melee.” That whole paragraph is ridiculous, it’s 2008 and you really shouldn’t say things like that, my God.
